No, not usually.. I am probably one of the least judgemental people around.. .and habits, well if it makes them happy so be it. Unless their habits involve cruelty.

Yes.   It speaks volumes.  Not about whether they are good or bad people, but whether I want to associate with energy that may be harmful to me.

I don't need negativity dragging me down.  If you want to pay me and have me listen, I offer you solutions.  If  you want to drag me into a bad habit, I politely decline.  And if you are depressing as hell and yet refuse to help yourself even though you have had ample opportunity? I pity and pray.

    It depends on their habits.
Whether they're hurting other people or just themselves.

  • Depends on the habit.
Judgement might be too strong a word.
If someone's habit irritates me or has the potential to harm me I will usually avoid them.

My husband has a habit of speeding on the roads. He has had several near misses with wildlife.

One day, swerving at speed might kill or maim him.

He has already had two accidents in which he narrowly missed losing his life and the car was a total wreck.

He refuses to accept that there are many idiots out there - drunk, on ice, or not quite compis mentis -
and they can come around one of our many blind corners on the wrong side of the road at any time.

It has taken me ten years to persuade him to slow down to the legal speed when I am his passenger.

The breakthrough came not from judging, but from finally intuiting and then asking whether he got a thrill from speed.
    "Yes," he said.
"Ah-ha! So do you feel uncomfortable or bored or irritated by going slow?"
    "Yes."
"Do you think you might be able to tolerate that feeling when I'm on board so I don't feel terrified?"
    "Maybe."

Since then, he manages to remember to treat me like nitroglycerine most of the time.

    Some habits, yes.

Show me someone who says they don't and I'll show you a liar. Which is one habit I really judge harshly.
