    You mistake the tunnel of cleverly disguised nonsense for the tunnel of stupidity.  They are very different.  One is Phun and the other is annoying.

    I find it excruciatingly hard to parse your sentence, except for the alcohol part. I have only been inebriated once and I found it excruciatingly hard to climb the stairs in the barracks.
