Would you believe Pollocks are telling Obama jokes now?

A political scandal is gathering pace in Poland. Officials of the Polish administration are accused of releasing racist statements against US President-elect Barack Obama. “Why does Barack Obama have Polish roots? Because his grandfather ate a Polish missionary.” This is the joke that Polish foreign minister tells his colleagues

    What's a Pollock, isn't that a type of fish? We have a lot of Polish people in the UK - we don't call them Pollocks so that threw me a bit.. .
    I think the .ru is telling.. I understand the Polish hate the Russians and with good reason I understand.. the Russians, and I don't want to shock anyone, are not benign. ..

    I had a Polish boss who used to tell Polack jokes all the time.
    He'd say "If you can't laugh at yourself, who CAN you laugh at?"
    Of course, he also had a thick accent and most people couldn't understand what he was saying.  LOL
