How can you survive without AC? I live in South Florida and keep a portable AC on hand just in case my central AC does out. We survived as kids but now I'm too spoiled I guess. The heat makes me feel sick.
ALF, if I didn't luv ya so much I'd have to put you over my knee. If we all moved there you would probably move out because it would be too crowded. We don't want that. ;) Yes. It is lovely there. You made a good choice about how to escape the heat. Cyber-hug, sweat and all!!
I see above ... South Florida. I've only been as far south, in Florida, as Tampa and after watching the TV series "Burn Notice" I'd love to see Miami. More southerly, so warmer, but I'd still like to see it!
It has been 116-118 F the last two days and I did run the ac part of the time. But mostly the window fan at night pulls enough coolth that the floor absorbs, so temps inside stay below a hundred most of the day.
coolth - opposite of warmth
The main thing you notice here is that you get hot water from both faucets.

I am sure about one thing Not Sure, we have a similiar situation. I hope you are hydrating not only with water by some electrolytes, too! I wouldn't want you to have heat stroke. I like your word, coolth! Very "Coolth!" indeed! Thanks for answering Not Sure and hope to see more of you!! Until then, take care, :) Merlin :)
And you look Darn good doin' it. Come and stop by my hot house. We don't have any a/c but we do have a full bar and ice-cold beer!! I'd even put your little hot paws on ice! Oh, we do have water and Gatorade too, just for case!!
Thanks, Merlin, for finding this funny. :) And your plan sounds good. I'll bark out the directions to your place to RunnerMan here and I'll follow him and bring him along to your place. :)
