What is one pet peeve you have, that no matter how much you try to overlook it, still drives you up a wall everytime?

Everybody has something, what’s at the top of your list?

It is still people who say: "I seen him do it" instead of "I saw him do it."  It drives me up a wall.

The one that gets me is "My Bad."  WHAT???  Where did that even come from to begin with and who said it was attractive to say.... AND there is nothing I can find that makes it even a logical way to communicate.  A gerbil speaks better than that!  OH, I hear you on some of the popular things people are saying these days.  I'm shaking my head.  :l .

You've offended my pet gerbils, they are crying.

    Reported.

Your gerbils Gerald and Gertrude?  They heard me?  "My Bad."  Here give them some lettuce and carrots and a high five for me.  That should do the trick.  Oh, dude, tell them I said they speak better than that, too, man.  Are they happy now?
They have reported me a gazillion times already.  Tell Gertrude she doesn't have to run on her wheel that much any more. Normally when you tell a women she looks fit and thin, it eases her.
PHEW!  That was close!!! ;) :)!!

Exactly Don!!  You nailed it.  To add insult to injury most say it accompanied by a smirk.  It makes it even worse!!

It somehow caught on as being cool.  I have disliked it immensely from the start.  "My Bad" and high five, Grrrrr.  Don't ever try to high five me, please.

I know!  Don't even try to give me a LOW five.
When people say this to me, I tend to answer with a glare.  It's really too bad because a lot of the time, when you do something wrong and I'm around, I forgive and forget.  Many times I'll say, "thanks for admitting you made a mistake.  Don't worry about it."  If a person says, "My Bad,"  I just give them that quite closed mouth smile with a glare and "Ya dude, please watch your step next time," sort of answer.   Grrrrrrr  is right.  I totally irks me.

Also people who don't know the difference between Their, There and They're - People who don't know the difference between Threw and Through.
I am not a grammar Nazi, but that irritates the crap out of me.

Let’s not forget Grammar Nazis. Trifling breed who make it their business to crusade against petty errors. This post was edited by Don Barzini at August 9, 2018 10:33 AM MDT

Yes! I've had that happen to me a time or two over very minor things and it's really insulting. Sometimes I use my phone and it's kind of hard to see, plus, it tends to post what it thinks I mean. I've never corrected anyone for misusing any of the ones I stated above though. I can’t speak for others, but it’s pretty pointless overall. I know my fingers can’t keep pace with my thoughts, and having some dust-sniffing yahoo follow up on it is, as you say, insulting. You’d think there would be a better use of one’s time.

You'd think. I have neither the time nor the need to correct all the mistakes I see. When I see boo-boos, I grunt a little and go on about my business.

How about, “I have 37 CENT” as opposed to the plural. Grit my teeth.
