Is there a song or album that you love but haven't heard in ages... and would like to listen to, or have done so recently?

War of the World.. Jeff Wayne... is that well known elsewhere? It was very popular here decades ago...I never liked it for years.. but then discovered it wasn't at all bad as I had thought - then I grew to love it.. Took daughter to see it and to my surprise she loved it... I love the whole thing = here's a song from it... I chose this one because it reminds me that my daughter used to call the singer Justin Haywire :P

Not only does that happen to me all the time, it's also more than just one particular song; there are countless songs I recall from the "good ol' days" of my youth and wish to hear again or have recently heard after a long absence.
I'm an absolute fan of 1980s music, but I also love a lot of it from the 1970s and 1960s too. As such, in my case, the list of songs that fit this category you've posted about runs in the hundreds or even the thousands.

      Great question!

Interesting.. I have songs pop into my head all the time.. songs from my past... and I love rediscovering them. So I guess that's similar? Obviously also a fan of 80s,70s and 60s too.
You could maybe choose one and I can look it up and share? Or do you like to keep your music tastes personal? I know some people do :)

No, they're neither personal nor private, it's just that there are so many from which I could choose that narrowimg them down wouldn't be easy.

Hayward pisses me off...He is older and better looking than me. Love the Moodys though.

I'm with Randy...There are too many to list. A local high school has a radio station as part of their communications course they offer. They play only oldies from the 50s and 60s...With NO ads. My favourite station now.

If there is one I want to listen to I go to youtube and crank it on the Bose.

I had a bit of a crush on Haywire and come to think of it.. if he turned up at my door offering to whisk me off - I probably wouldn't say no even now :P

Well I can find any song I want on youtube but there is a type of alblum I'd love to hear - one that is recorded at 45 RPM speed - very nice sound quality. Falco recorded all his albums that way - would love to hear his album that has Der Commissioner. Cheers and happy weekend! This post was edited by Nanoose at August 11, 2018 11:16 AM MDT

It's funny you should ask.  It's also funny to see you on here at the same time as me.  Is it raining where you are?  It's been raining here all day.  My answer is, In Search of the Lost Cord by the Moody Blues.
