    Thanks.
Things will look up -- and I guess I wasn't thinking of myself so much with my answer. I just looked through favorite music and liked that song for an answer. But maybe it was a Freudian slip - - I've had challenges lately but I'll come through.

Nice.  I had an opportunity to see them in concert about five years ago.  Very very good time.  I don't like this video but that's just me.

I really like the video, as I already said, I guess..

And the lead singer is in his barefeet. Cool.

  • Thank you, NJ.  I couldn't find Marvin's recording, but did find Kool & the Gang's.  I can dig it!  :)

I've seen them twice in concert!
The first time I was in ninth grade and after waiting in line for autographs (my dad was with me) and being told the sisters were done giving them, I asked a young couple in line with us if they wanted to go find them with me and we found their dressing room and knocked on the door. They let us in. And they invited me to sit and we all talked. The sisters were incredibly nice and funny!
Oh, the audacity and borderline-rudeness of my being in ninth grade. I'm surprised my dad went along with my idea. But he knew how much I loved the Pointer Sisters. I still do. I probably drove my family crazy with how much I played their music. Along with Johnny Nash, The Pointer Sisters are my biggest life-long favorites.
(Well, I guess The Mamas and The Papas and Bobbie Gentry, too --  but those artists I knew from my parents' music collection. Nash and The Pointers I "found" on my own.)

    :)

  • Okay ... lyrics.  I was hoping for a song title that answers the question asked by this one, but I know that I'm not the best at phrasing questions.
Anyway ... I do thank you for your reply and it does answer the question.  Thanks again, Officegirl  :)
