I tend to think so. If you're smart, you can't help but show it. It just flows out of you. Those who are good at being smart don't overwhelm others with their knowledge. They keep it in check. Most people can pick up on your talents pretty quickly. You also, subconsciously, surround yourself with other smart people. You don't have to flaunt it. When you got it, you got it. :) :)

I think I know what Cosmic is saying and it's hard to answer how other people might feel. But, as a general rule, I don't think anybody likes it when people place themselves on a pedestal and rant on for 45 minutes about something most don't really have an interest in or care to understand. Even if they aren't a brainiac, most people don't like that. I know I don't.
Oh thank you. But perhaps I should clarify. Does not bother me being left out of intellectual discussions parts of which I would not understand anyway. But I do think the way people perceive me in general is that I am efficient at accomplishing this or that task I am assigned and making the dinners or washing the dishes but that my opinion does not really matter to them. Really my husband is about the only person who really cares what I think and is willing to discuss different things with me. Which I guess should be enough.
