You Goof Ball!  You're going to give the kid an ulcer!  Still, 57 days?  I am curious. When did you sit down and read the Unabridged Merriam-Webster Dictionary starting with the first entry aa and ending with zyzzogeton. including all the entries and pages in between?  Does that really count as reading or memorizing?  What possessed you to do such a thing?

If this were true Cosmic, he would have to read 190 words per second and have a speed-page-turner.  I don't think the human mind can absorb that amount of information in that amount of time.  In fact, I don't think you could actually turn all the pages of a full dictionary in that amount of time.  Don't worry.  He's joshing you.

I couldn't read a dictionary.. I have a low attention span for things that don't actively stimulate me.. I'd like some of the words, of course - but others I'd be bored by and skim.

Not that long if I rip all the pages out but one..... :)
The full English dictionary has a word count exceeding 630,000 words....it's increasing in size every day as new words are added ....

From A to Z and comprehend every word you read?  "Speed demon race-reader" or not, it should take your  entire life.
Language is a beast that changes with time. Words are added.  Example: photobomb.  Some words put aside or rarely used.  Example: erstwhile.  Familiar words take on new meanings.  Example:  Gay.
It doesn't matter how fast you read.  What does matter is if you understand them and how to use them correctly in your written correspondence and even verbal communication. :):)
