    Yep. If cancer doesn't recur and kill me then i'll probably develop alzhiemer's  and become a  vegetable.

    I don't view death as "unfortunate", though it is "inescapable" ... so "No, I am not doomed".

  • That's what makes me wonder, the R.I.P of unconsciousness until the last trump (Biblical), or the "We shall not all sleep..." verse (also Biblical).   Will I sleep or will I join Elijah, Moses, and Lazarus (the one in flames)?     From the moment I was born I was doomed for death. I don’t worry about it. It’s going to happen when it happens. 

    This reminds me of when an inmate threatened to kill me one shift. I calmly replied with a straight face, “You’re going to have to come up with a much better threat.” He replied, “What do you mean? I’m going to kill you.” I replied, “I’m not scared to die because I’m going to die at some point. It might be today, tomorrow, ten years, or fifty years. You’re threatening me with something which is inevitable. You’re going to have to do better.”

    He was speechless.
