Isn't Monet the guy who paints the dreary looking landscapes? Personally, I like the art of Frank Lloyd Wright. He was an architect, but had some great stuff like his masterpiece, 'Falling Water'.
I know it isn’t considered artwork, but Mother Earth has some natural beauty. There are some places across the planet that are breathtaking. Nothing beats nature’s beauty.
I own a waterfront painting by Jeanne Zephir, a 19th century painting of a New England farm (unsigned) , and an earlier 20th Century black and white drawing of a New England town center, also unsigned. Guess those are about my favorites though I like a lot of different art and artists.
