Just as a hopefully interesting side-thought there.. In the UK they *say* that the back roads are the most dangerous.. people fly round them and apparently it takes longer for the emergency services, (ambulance and police etc) to reach people if they are involved in an accident on the back roads.. Full of useful info :P
Nicey jokes about everything :P It would be ambulance usually.. but maybe police.. they do care - it's their job.. In cities such as London the services are hindered in reaching people because of traffic congestion and some roads narrowed so much by parking both sides of the road..

Not all the police are bad.....many do the job for the right reason....for a lot of them that's been in the job for many years though ,they become very condescending and talk down to people thinking they know better and talk to almost anyone like shit.... Its a thankless job that's essential ....and it's a shame that so many think there are above the law and know they will never ever get prosecuted no matter what they do...
There are aggressive drivers in both the cities and in rural areas ....the police use cameras to geneparate money from speeding and not for bad or erratic driving....There are so many foreign Eastern European and from God knows where else that dive like maniacs....I see them every day....they undertake and do the most crass things...
Generally ,rural roads are safer ...but for people that ride peddle bikes...sometimes it's almost impossible to overtake them...
