"Yes" Driving through a residential area, a small dog ran toward my van so I stopped. His owners were standing in the street watching (don't know why they didn't come get their dog) and the dog kept barking at my rear tire. So I thought I'd slowly move away ... bad idea. Ran over the dog's leg. So I stopped again and got out to talk to the people. They said I'd done all I could and didn't blame me ... I still felt bad though.
At least you didn't drive away without a concern for the small dog or the people at least you were responsible. Still, it is always a very sad accident.
Several rabbits on country roads - they're in plague proportions in some parts of the bush, so it's unavoidable. One pigeon that apparently had a death wish - flew straight into my grille. And hundreds of bugs. What's the last thing that goes through the mind of a bug as it hits your windshield? Its a$$.
