    Who, Santa?  Heavens, No!  His feelings were hurt that my best friend didn't believe.  I straightened her out very easily by lending her a pony from the North Pole.  
    She was, again, a believer.  I hated to admit it but 

    All it takes is a little belief and magic...
    Poof!
    There was the pony. 

    Santa works in mysterious ways.... 

    I reminded her, 
    A wink of an eye and turn of his head,
    Soon, she knew she had nothing to dread....

    Laying a finger aside his nose,
    and giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!

    He sprung to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
    And away they all flew, like the down of a thistle:

    But she heard him exclaim, ere they drove out of site -

    Happy Christmas to all and to all a Good Night.

    It wasn't until I had her learn the reindeer names that she finally believed

    "Santa IS REAL.  He is just not in sight."

    She was trying to convince me Santa wasn't real.  I went to extremes to prove he was. :) :).  To this day, she knows, he is. :) :) This post was edited by Merlin at September 4, 2018 9:16 PM MDT

  • All she had to do was watch "The Santa Clause."  As soon as the old one falls off of a roof, there's a new replacement waiting! :)

    Big Giggles!  So True!  I don't think the movie "The Santa Clause" was around back then but shady roof-tiles were.  Goodness, what a mess!  As far as gender, he/she has none.  Santa is junkless. Bigger Giggles!
