I will start by saying anything on the intelligence level should always remain on a strict need to know basis. Intelligence is important information and the general public shouldn’t have knowledge. Important military developments and strategies should remain in the military and politicians. Otherwise would be a potential compromise to the safety of the country. Same goes for intelligence. This goes for federal law enforcement investigations and organized movements to make arrests, to gain informationl and to gather evidence.
Every single cent spent by the government not spent on the above mentioned areas should always be public knowledge. Otherwise we cannot know what our politicians are up to, nor can we hold them accountable.
The sad part is that even when we find out what out government officials are up to, they are still rarely held accountable. How do you maintain law and order among the masses when those who are at the top, those who should be held to a higher standard, are able to put their hand in the cookie jar and keep the cookies?
