What was the last thing that blew your mind. This did mine. I never knew Chim Chimney was such a complicated piece.

I came back to edit.  There is a question mark after the first sentence. Your mind can see it.  I just wasn't able to have it print on your screens.  ;) ;)

I get the feeling of this being staged...

A recent survey by the American Bible Society (ABS) showed that 81% of Americans (Christians or not) “see declining morality in society”. This post was edited by Beans/SilentGeneration at September 22, 2018 7:55 PM MDT

They recently promoted one of the dumbest people I’ve ever known to sergeant at work. He has no common sense or intelligence at all. A few years ago he was one of my second officers in my cell house. After three weeks of headaches and rear end chewings I was able to push him out of my unit and to another post. He was always letting inmates out of their cells because they wanted to be out. Big no-no. If they don’t have a valid reason they remained tucked in their cells. I was forever going behind him and locking them back in their cells. He also can’t perform pat searches or shakedowns worth a darn. I would go behind him and find all sorts of contraband. I remember telling him one night, “You couldn’t find a hard-on in a strip club.”  This guy doesn’t have the mental capacity to sweep and mop. Did you know that Clint Eastwood could sing?

  • Nope ... I didn't.  Guess we ought to put these under the category "Celebrities that didn't make a living singing."  Like Robert Mitchum, Walter Brennan, Lorne Greene, Leonard Nimoy, William Shatner and the Three Stooges.

I met him once and then again, and again.  Big smiles.  He was a a friend of my uncles years ago.  He does have a really low voice and was always very nice to me.  I was just a young, little, 17 then.  I wasn't allowed to hang out with "the big boys," after a certain point. :(  But, he always included me in conversations and made me feel like I wasn't in the way but a part of the party.

I have never heard him sing either.  I knew he liked to but thought he was kidding.  We were in Nashville at the time.  Everyone (except my uncle and me) wanted to sing! ;) :)
I really haven't thought about him for years and years.  That was cool, ALF.  Thanks! :) :)

  • My pleasure, Merlin.  I've heard a lot of artists cover that song and his is one of the better ones ... (my opinion).  :) This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at October 4, 2018 3:02 PM MDT

Her Majesty has a far more distinguished service record than the entire Trump family. Combined.

That's not the meaning of that expression. A monarchy rewards nothing but heredity and is thus a stupid system of government. Merit doesn't even enter into it.

I'm wondering... Has she held the title "Queen" longer than any other queen, EVER?  Prince Charles never had a chance!  She is going to out live us all! :) :)
Who can blame her?  She does wear the crown well. :) :)

Longest reigning Queen of England, yes. Still has a few months to go to match Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine (France), who reigned from 9 April 1137 - 1 April 1204.
The longest reigning monarch of all time was a king - Sobhuza II of Swaziland (reign 10 December 1899 - 21 August 1982).

And what's the big deal about that? As I said above, being in the lucky sperm club makes unremarkable people famous.
