You must be one bored little tattletale. I have known of few real harassing bullies on this site. They both have disappeared or changed their identity. There were quite a few obnoxious EP folks but they are all gone too.
I disagree. Being a grown up involves standing up to the bully and helping the bullied in whichever way is needed be it "telling the teacher/moderator/police/etc or more direct help. A grownup should never look the other way or allow it continue.

All of the little numbers and arrows on this site actually are important if you are interested in being relevant and on topic. I'm always happy to help.
In general, it’s sad. That said, social media users need to be cognizant of the type of people who are out there, that many have bad manners or evil intents. It’s like anything else when interacting with an unrestrained public, amplified by the courage from behind a keyboard. Facebook, Twitter, et al, are playgrounds for idiots, trolls and predators.
I liken it to being out on a congested public road, one should drive defensively.
I think it's a lot worse than sad. Numerous teenagers have committed suicide as a result of online bullying. Psychologist's offices are full of women recovering from various forms of emotional sexual abuse - the perps hook some naïve, lonely woman, and then once they've got her hooked, slowly begin and ramp up the attack. Every country has a department of police chasing up online fraud initiated via social sites.
Oh, I agree. I used sad in the larger sense that all of what you mention IS sad, as opposed to fearful, happy, or other emotions. But I completely concur.
Some peeps post something either incredibly stupid or intentionally provocative. Flames are inevitable. I won't apologize to an idiot for being an idiot. I won't harass them myself, but neither will I defend them.
There are some people who deserve to be roasted on a spit and others for whom I will stand up and defend. Occasionally, I have reported a really bad comment, but not on here.
