A Dike or Dyke  inspector in Holland...   :(    It's essential that someone keeps their finger on the job in hand...

  • Not exactly an answer to this question. But my boyfriend is an EMT in the UK. When they go to a patient they fill out patient history on a form, and one of the questions is "What is you sexual orientation?"  My boyfriend was so horrified when he saw that on the new forms a few years back, he made a decision to never fill that blank in or to just put in, N/A.

Cinders - I support his decision, but did your boyfriend ever find out why the question was even asked?

  • No he never found out why the question was on the form.  But he said most of his coworkers have never asked any patient that question!

    I'm not surprised they didn't. I wouldn't, either.

Sexual orientation not as much as someone's past.  You are a felon?  You cannot get a decent job anywhere.

That has to do with someone's past.

I have heard they check men out pretty thoroughly who apply for submarine service in the Navy.
