No need for them to ask if they're telling me the answer...

BTW, I deleted my post about the adult section - you specified you weren't asking me..so I'll MMOB... This post was edited by Beans/SilentGeneration at October 14, 2018 1:21 PM MDT

No.  If I am confronted with any genre, I think I can BS my way through.  I at least convince myself I gave a decent answer.  Maybe everyone else is laughing all the way to the bank, but hey, at least it's worth a good laugh!!
    Big giggles!

Politics, religion and sex questions. In my experience, people who ask those questions don't really want anyone's input, they just want an excuse to give their opinion.  I also avoid and questions that involve 'T' words: Trump, tildes and trashbags. :)

Nothing about restraining orders, injunctions, cease-and-desist letters, unlisted phone numbers, blocked email accounts, double/triple firewalls, anti-intrusion software, hacker protection, pepper spray, loud whistles, eye-gouging techniques, groin-kicks, self-defense classes, firearms training, remote-access peephole cameras, deadbolt locks, reinforced doors and windows, neighborhood watch programs, guard dogs, private security patrols, surveillance cameras, burglar alarms, face-recognition systems, saferooms, intruder alerts, etc.?

Wow, I still have a chance!

But what about tables, tacos, tamales, tanks, taxes, taxis, teeth, temptations, tennis, tequila, thimbles,  ticks, ties, tires, trees, trombones, trucks, and trumpets?

I guess I'll have to add those to my list. Also, turkeys, tinnitus and Tiajuana.

I avoid some - for instance, I know nothing about popular styles of music, have never listened to it, so what could I say?

Some questions are too witty for my poor wit to think up a response.

Rarely, some are so personal and so far outside my realm of experience, that I have no response.

I don't respond to the fresh, clean, pristine, unused, brand new plastic garbage bag costume challenges - though I am amazed at the infinite ways the nearly same question can be re-phrased - because I don't want to be drawn into a fetishistic game that has no appeal for me.

I stay away if something in the tone seems slightly, trolly, sarcastic or off.

I'm ultra careful about double-entendre questions, and if I do answer them it's usually in a way that makes me unattractive - I have no desire to get hooked into ersatz passion.

I like political, religious, philosophical, social and sociological, environmental, cultural and personal questions and discussions of almost all kinds - and try to answer them with care and tact. Although occasionally, I slip up and get carried away on one of the themes about which I feel strongly.

  • I am staying away from any political thread.  This is my new escape, my new "happy place", and in my world there is no room for politics. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at October 18, 2018 10:48 AM MDT
