I don't know about generic, but given the ages of Reagan and Trump when elected, and McCain and Dole when they ran, it's clear Republicans prefer geriatric candidates. This post was edited by Slartibartfast at October 14, 2018 4:16 PM MDT

I sure qualify as a geriatric Dem Sbf. Guilty as charged. But as for generic I'm a progressive liberal Democrat so is that generic or name brand? Thank you for your reply m'dear. Elizabeth Warren is a bit long in the tooth but Kamala Harris is relatively young.  I wonder which Dem guys are gonna throw their hats in the ring in 2020?  Assuming we last that long! Thank you for your reply! :)

I'd like to see Tammy Duckworth step up to the plate. Unlikely, but she'd be a terrific POTUS.

I agree. I wonder if the world is ready for an ex-military dame who was severely wounded serving her country to be president?  Which gives me another question to ask. Thanks for the inspiration m'dear!  :)

I just asked a question about Tammy Sbf and gave you indirect credit. Great idea! In fact I'm awed that a non-American would go there but of course you are not a "typical" non-American. I appreciate your talking about Senator Duckworth. She is awesome! :)
