I'm generally serious about proper usage in my writing, not so much in my speech or in the writing or speech of others. But even in writing, I may flout the norms, but you know I'm not ignorant of the rules, since I ain't not no un-dummy.
I wouldn't try it here. I play with grammar privately, with experimental uses in poetry. I like N-dashes for conversational or letter style. I like the style used for radio scripts, where punctuation acts like musical notation to determine the length of pause between phrases. I use the radio style to bend the rules in fiction with dialogue and sometimes to give a poetic rhythm to the cadence of the text.
