One that worked without endless problems....One that didn't profile you and who knows what they do with the information they glean about you... :(

  • Maybe one that can detect when we're driving and shock if the unlock button is touched.

Easy ways to operate the thing.

I cannot even appreciate all it does that is so smart because it is too complicated to figure out.

That's actually an option. You can program your device to get wiped clean after so many wrong passcode attempts.

      A non-shouting-in-public feature.

      A no-one-else-wants-to-hear-your-private-conversation feature.

      A whisper-only mode.

Remove all speaker phones from them.

Eliminate all those annoying ringtones. (Wait, that's redundant.)

No, I do NOT want to see your photos.

A sensor that completely disables the phone within three feet of a steering wheel.

A telepathic receptor that allows me to remotely trigger the phone to explode, ending all of the problems above.

  • Either a cigarette lighter or a battery that'll explode on command. :P

Ease and efficiency of use helped by genuine, readily-available instructions...

Ready indication of waiting messages or numbers-called, and a ready way actually to read or listen, and reply to, them.

A note telling you rather more than terse messages on the lines of "57 apps [sic] ready for downloading".
I do not download unknown software!

Oh, and the ability to strip out or block easily, without compromising its primary telephonic functions, any software you don't want or need!

I've taken mine, a 4G-rated (whatever that means in practice) "LG some-number-or-other 2017", out of service, unlocked it, removed its card, paid off the 2-year supposedly-PAYG contract. Only need now to sell it, but I don't know how much to ask.
