Should someone explain to French Pres the meaning of nationalism? He claimed "nationalism is the betrayal of patriotism"

    As an aside:
    An argument can be made for arrogance as a cause of the US Civil War. 

    Arrogance also misled the Japanese into attacking Pearl Harbor. Hitler’s unhinged arrogance was a seminal force of WWII.
    Would we more correctly call these Nationalism or patriotism? 

    In fairness, I think it’s a stretch to say that Tom meant all wars. More to the point of the conditions for war.
