Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» What do you think about as you try to fall asleep each night? The same thing, different things, nothing? How do you think about nothing?
It is VERY VERY unhealthy to go to sleep without having a calm, relaxed mind, happy and content.
The body heals during rest, and if you are anxiety-ridden, you are messing up your body and your next day, which, I promise, will start the new next day with terror and anxiety.
Do not listen to the news before bed without next turning on a positive meditation tape and fall asleep to that.
It works wonders. I know, because I stopped this practice and you have seen what a crazed psycho I can be.
I am back to this now, and it is easier to wake up and face the day. And when I play the tape in the morning, I am energized.
For the past week, our air quality here has been in the "Red" except yesterday was in the "Purple". https://airnow.gov/index.cfm?action=aqibasics.aqi#very Mid-week, a storm is coming, and I can NOT wait. It will be nice not to see an orange moon, which would otherwise be pretty.
That is simply AWFUL lavender! At what expense to your health I wonder? Those fires are more than the loss of lives, loss of homes and structures. It's what happens to the survivors who carry on after. Breathing in that air is very ungood. I remember I read that something like 2000 first responders after 9/11 got cancers or lung disease from working in the ruins day after day after day after day. I hope you will not be adversely affected long-term. Sometimes it seems as if Mother Nature has it in for us. Take care and hope your storm arrives on time lavender. We are allgedly going to get some rain on Thursday but we get stiffed a lot so I'm not counting on it. You need it to clean the air so I don't mind not getting any so you can have our share. Thank you for your reply and for the link m'dear! :)
A very nice side benny Ele. So you take heart meds? Anything more than a statin? Don't mean to be nosy so just ignore the question if it is too invasive. Thank you for your reply and Happy Monday! :)
OOh. Okay Ele. I won't pry further. Thank you for your reply. Jim and I have been taking statins for years. We used to love grapefruit to eat and we loved grapefruit juice but as you know that is the one NO NO when you take statins since it apparently interacts adversely. We used to take a different kind but we've been on Atorvastatin for quite a few years now. Our Cholesterol levels are always very good so the statins are working for us. So far so good! For you as well I hope! :)
Here is a revelation for you. Are you sitting down? I did some research about the grapefruit...you CAN have it, just not in large quantities. After 15 years of not having my beloved grapefruit juice, I can start drinking it again. (check with your doctor first.)
