I’ve always thought the deflation of personal initiative was a bigger drawback.

What does that have to do with the question? And it is now legal in a number of states.

  • It's legal in the state I live in so the quality of the different varieties has gotten pretty consistent.

I found that I built up a tolerance so that I didn't really get high every time. Now I smoke only a few times a year, sometimes months apart, and I enjoy it much more each time.

It can be that's why it's best to invest $28 in a electronic microscope and grow your own  When you grow your own you can control quality and with the electronic microscope  you can see when the plant is in it's most potent stage. Also with the electronic microscope you can see when the plant is in a stage that will be a body stone type of buzz or a head rush type of buzz. Cheers!

What is an electronic microscope and how would we know what to look for with it?

It's a hand held battery powered micro scope that you can buy at WallMart for $28. Knowing what to look for is interesting, a bit complicated and best explained with photos.  So if you do a web search for "cannabis harvesting window" you might find it interesting. Cheers!

For the once a year or so that I buy it, I would rather just spend the money on the actual stuff.

And come on, even in Canada you should know that the store is Walmart, not Wallmart.
