I've already wasted too much money over the years on gym memberships that I never completed.  I've learned my lesson.  I'll just stay "fluffy" if you don't mind. :)

    No I don't overeat and I don't eat meat.

    I'm not into indigestion.

My plate will be a lot of raw vegetables and fruits.

    I'm boring.

I have a lot to be grateful for and I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving.

However you celebrate and whatever you choose to eat enjoy it.  I'm not partial to turkey, so most of what is on my plate will be the sides. :) This post was edited by SpunkySenior at November 23, 2018 5:20 PM MST

Thirteen year ago my wife and I had a seafood Thanksgiving dinner. Two days later I had a heart attack. This holiday does not give me any fond memories.

Well, I can certainly see why this may not be your favorite holiday.  Hopefully, none of the rest will be as eventful. :)

I actually thought of you not eating meat, as I've spent some time here on the site in the last day and evening. I'd do better, for sure, to eat more vegetables and fruit. I do eat at least one apple a day. and I love spinach (cooked is my favorite) and Brussels sprouts but I don't seem to see them appearing on my plate very much at all.

I might pick at the turkey before going to work, I'm not one to overindulge and we don't make a huge deal out of it anyway. Cold turkey is always a yummy snack though.

We usually don't celebrate it unless we go to my daughter's house. We aren't this year as the rest of the family will be going to my first wife's house. And my wife just had a heart procedure Tuesday and isn't up for anything.

I'm sorry your wife isn't up to traveling, but I surely understand.  We have alternating holidays in my family as well and with so many nieces and nephews, it does tend to get complicated, but that's a problem I am happy to have.  I hope your wife feels better soon.

Best to you and your wife.
    :)

(I've sometimes thought of how much more I'd enjoy Cedar Point if they were open until Thanksgiving or Christmas or something. I base that totally on the temperature factor -- I am SO much more comfortable in really cool/colder weather as opposed to the blaring sun. But I assume cold weather might negatively affect rides' machinations. In any case, a trip to Cedar Point in today's very cool temperature would be enjoyable to me.)

Are you nuts? Wind chill on one of those roller coasters...instant frostbite. Just thinking about it gives me shrinkage.

    :)

I love this movie! ( Though I really like Genevieve Bujold, Michael Douglas, Elizabeth Ashley and Richard Widmark in it, a huge factor that I like about the movie is Jerry Goldsmith's movie score for the movie -- and SO cool to me -- the movie has no music for about the first half of the movie or so -- and then at one point in the movie, when things start to "go wrong," in comes some chilling music. BlahBlahBlah -- there I go again, ha!)

Yes, the book was really good, too!! I read it after I saw this movie. I think this movie is one of the best movies I've seen that was based upon a book. If you haven't seen this movie, I recommend it a lot! (This one -- not the relatively-recent remake; I've not seen the remake.)

Generally, if I read the book, I don't see the movie.  I'm usually disappointed when I do.  Somehow, Central Casting rarely chooses actors that match what I imagine in my mind.
