I have not been to the malls of late where at this time of year they play that stuff at you 24/7.  Not that I don't love a good Christmas song.  But the ones at the malls are enough to put me off them for the whole season.

Yes. I'm at a college hockey game at Madison Square Garden, and they're about to do the Star Spangled Banner.

I can.  For many many years I have avoided Christmas songs.

Probably makes you recoil and want to vomit.  Huh?

Do you have the same problem with garlic and crosses?  Can you see yourself in the mirror?

I cannot see myself in the mirror; Am I supposed to?

I have no thought of the Christmas season yet.  Give it a break, folks.  Bird Day is hardly over and people are still eating leftovers.

Bird Day!! That's probably what made me post that "The Birds" Statement!
    Ha!
    :)

Yes, even now on November 28, let's still go a day at a time. It's quite a while until Christmas. Let's go a day and moment at a time.

geez -- I'm so philosophical at the moment

I ask this question every year and I always ruin someone's day. Sorry. Dammit...now it's stuck in my brain. You are evil. This post was edited by Element 99 at November 29, 2018 4:28 AM MST

I liked that little Batman/Joker clip!
    :)

And it reminded me of my VERY favorite version of "Jingle Bells" -- by The Crash Test Dummies!
    Ninety seconds of demented fun!
    :)

(I just wish that whoever put the clip together had not gone a bit over the top into 'adult nature' land. The other images are a lot of fun. But perhaps even that image just goes along with the weirdness of the song.)

I like the Crash Test Dummies as far as music and totally agree with you on the visual.  The only visual that was just a wee-bit fun was the airplane one.  The others, well, it's like looking a Santa the 13th, part 13 trillion years too much.  :) :D!

    You're probably right!
    :)

I love the Crash Test Dummies. This is off their "Jingle all the Way" Christmas CD. The rest of the album is not nearly so demented.

  • Yes, I can honestly say no Christmas songs are polluting my brain at this time.   It's not even December yet.  It's bad enough some stores started putting out Christmas crap before Halloween, I don't want to hear the crappy music on top of it.    Next year, when my Grandson will have been born, I will allow it to pollute my head.   Right now, JUST.  NO.
