Remember when Bill Clinton talked about making America great again?

Just saw a clip of that from the 1992 campaign. Sounded a lot better when he said it, didn't it?

Not only did it sound better, but he actually accomplished that promise.  At least Bill Clinton understood how government and the economy work and he did it without all the egotistical bluster and trashing our European allies. Which was exactly the point of my question. Sharonna seems to have missed that and thought I was ripping him.

Clinton meant "put more people on public assistance".  If you don't have to work, why work?

Clinton was the one who revamped welfare to prevent people from remaining on it for more than five years.  Do some research.

True because Newt forced his hand.... but Obama was the one who quit enforcing it.

Newt forced his hand.  GIVE ME A FREAKING BREAK.

That sycophant of the right, never forced anything without some money backing reason.

Yes, in 1996 Newt forced the bill. And also forced the balancing of the budget as well.

I don't recall anyone here talking about Obama.  We were talking about Clinton.  What does Obama have to do with Stu's comment?  Nothing, absolutely nothing.

Where is Stu in this answer thread? Your post was to bhwilson.....about welfare reform. As was my comment about welfare reform.

But the topic in bhwilson's was welfare. And yours was Clinton's passing of welfare reform.....the next thing that happened with the reform was Obama quit enforcing that work requirement.  I believe it was Old School who told me Obama had to quit because there where no jobs for the people.
If it had been Bush W, I would have stated that as well. I was still on topic.

Watch it yourself.  You seem to have missed the gist of what his career was all about.

He was flawed.  He made mistakes.  But he was a great leader.  One of our finest.  He did the best he could with the equipment that he had in that era.  You could not have put Obama in that seat at that time.  Picture Trump even TRYING his crap back then.  JAIL or worse.

But we have deteriorated.  So bad.  SO BADLY that states are gerrymandered to keep the cruel and selfish and totally without any moral fiber in power and the rest of the uneducated morons in this country don't care.

If it is on TV and lots of people agree, it is good enough for them.

Bill Clinton liked snatch.  He did not go after women who did not want him.   Quite the opposite.  HE did not pay anyone off to keep quiet about it.  He did not trash his enemies.  He tried to find commonalities.

But most of all, he kept his love for his office and his Country in the forefront at all times.

Picture Clinton pulling this SH** and hiring people to protect him.  And making sure his Congress was backed with his people.  Picture him having Chelsea Clinton in office serving his every whim.

You know what?  Chelsea could at least do a bang up job.  Not like that shallow, self-centered progeny with fake boobs he calls his blow up doll daughter.

Picture comparing Clinton's wife, Hillary to Melania Trump.

    PICTURE IT.

    BE BEST.  Oh please.

A paid wife.  That is all she is.  And all she could ever hope to be.  Hire someone to copy her opponent's wife's speech and read it to a cast of thousands.

I still here the derisive laughter from those who heard it.  But, they STILL got in.  Against all odds.

Asking you what was the point of that lengthy diatribe. I referred m2c to watch "The Clinton Affair" to see the clip of him talking about making America great again, which is what inspired this question, and you went off on me. What's up with that?
