    I love it, too!

If you like this scene, I bet you'd like the entire movie. The whole movie is the same type of humor.
    :)

    Heck -- it's a scene from "A Christmas Story."
    :)

And the mother here, played by Melinda Dillon, is my favorite character in the movie.

    Yes!
    :)

    More quotes I like --

[after The Mother (she is never actually named in the movie, I don't think) calls Ralphie's friend's mother on the phone after Ralphie said the Fudge word]
The Mother: "Where do you think Ralphie heard that word?"
The other mother's voice heard on the phone: "Probably from his father."

"Show Mommy how piggies eat . . . Mommy's little piggy!"

That's just what they tell all the kids who ride a Detroit City Unified School District school bus.

Interpret it as "rollercoaster ride" (Weeeee.....!  Aw, are we at school already?  Um, Mr. Driver... on the way back home can we take the scenic route?)

    lol Big smiles. :)

That is one of my favorite movies and one of my favorite quotes. I recognized it instantly. Bigloseridiotman mentioned one of my other favorites. I also smile at "My mother had not had a hot meal for herself in 15 years," purely because I live that one. ;)

Like I said, it's my favorite line in the movie. And Melinda Dillon is so good in everything she does in this movie.
