My brother is out of town so I feed the animals and watch the tv. The first thing I learned is I don't know how to operate a tv any more. The second thing I figured out is that I would not allow such drivel in my house.
Most luxuries. Still allowable within budget: one coffee out per week, one movie, play or music gig per month, new socks, undies, t-shirts once a year. Not possible: holidays, restaurant meals, new clothes, massages - ah well, the list is close to endless.

However, this doesn't stop me from being happy - almost everything necessary is possible, and many good things are free, like walks in nature and wilderness, swims in the sea.
When we are Stateside most of the entertainment in NYC or other large cities.
In NYC a night out costs $200 minimum, we can afford it we choose not to pay it. In Wien/Vienna the same night out with better food 75-100€. If we are spending $200 for a meal we will choose either Paris or London. Actually we can find it for less with a better bottle of wine
