Not to my eyes. I see a woman who is positively glowing.

That said, a person could be standing on a street corner handing out $100 bills and there is a good chance someone would take offense to it.

Some wealthy secret santa in Phoenix gave a homeless man a stack of $100 bills to give to random strangers. Very cool.

    I don't have a problems with it.
But apparently some think she is "showing off" etc.

She is just reminding everyone that royalty is in her womb.  However, that finger nail polish is disgusting. When people die their nails turn a dark color, just like that.  I've always dis-liked dark nail polish because of that.

I think it's mostly the British press going off about her, isn't it? I could only find one report about it and they read excerpts from UK outlets.

I really wish I understood the context of it. I think pregnant women naturally make poses like that. It's kind of a subconscious thing- to cradle the baby. It's sweet and loving.

On the flip side, if, at that moment, attention was supposed to be on someone who won an award or something, and she made the pose intentionally for a photo, thus mindfully taking attention away from someone else, that would be different.

I also heard the thing about the nails. Royals are only allowed to wear neutral shades. *shrugs* They were up in arms when she closed her own car door too. It's like the media can't decide whether to attack her for being humble/ down-to-earth or for being a show off. Maybe they should just pick one. *face palm*

Yes, royals so British press. I do think this picture was at an awards show. But looks like they have been complaining about her cradling her belly all the time. Some it seemed to dislike her because she is the "American"... I don't know, I have never followed the royals.
I know when I was pregnant I suffered from morning sickness constantly (all day and night) and for some reason pushing my hands on my stomach did seem to help. I don't know if she suffers from that as well.

You cannot imagine the immensity of the f**k I do not give. Some mums-to-be are proud of their bump, others try to hide it with layers of baggy clothing.

It's a bit offensive.  I just think pregnant women should be modest about their pregnancy and wear loose clothing and not try to bring attention to their growing middles.  I can't believe some of the stuff I see.  If someone had walked up and put their hand on my pregnant belly I'm quite sure I would have slapped the sense out of them.

Really, I thought it was kind of a cute pose.
I don't think they should hide it but do think like any other woman they should be covered. But I do agree some people do think they can just come up and touch a pregnant woman's belly. I have seen it happen to others...never to me though.

Totally agree that it's an invasion of boundaries to stroke a pregnant woman's belly, same as it would be if she weren't preggers.

I see nothing wrong with it. I be more worried if I never saw her doing it.
For as long as I can remember, women have been cradling and stroking their baby bumps.
I think it's an important way for the mother to feel, express and develop her loving bond.
