It's usually over $4 (got to pay more for a "clean-air blend" in the summer).

I just paid $1.89.9 per gallon down the street it was $2.25.  Gas prices have been very low lately, which I'm enjoying.

Doesn't this "drive you bonkers?!!"  I know it is going to jump up again here soon.  It is so depressing that I can see them out there drilling, they drive it all over the place and then bring it back here and sell it to us.  Granted, many of us have a love affair with our cars and drive large distances to work.
I can't complain too much.  I am living here by choice.   It's one of the prices to pay. ;) ;)

.... But Still!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrr.  I don't drive the Audi very often because of it.

  • When gas prices start to bother me, I just think of places like London, England.

Nation City Price in USD Regular/Gallon
    United Kingdom London $5.79
    Germany Frankfurt $5.57
    France Paris $5.54
    Portugal Lisbon $5.35

I'm still sad ... but for somebody else!

Hugs and loves!  Me too!  :) :)
Luckily over there, they don't abuse the automobile as much as we do in Califonia.  Then again, it is much smaller.  Better to bike and walk than live 47 miles away from where you work.
    :) :)

  • May I give you your first Christmas present ... peace of mind.
Just think of all the extra presents you can buy now because ...

According to AAA, your state isn't even in the top ten.

  • Thanks for your informational. I don't travel to any of those places lol.  All I know is that when I go to Ohio to visit sister their gas is about 50 cts to 75 cts cheaper than here.  In Pennsylvania, the 8-cent gas tax increase that kicked in Jan. 1 pushes the state's wholesale per-gallon tax to 58 cents per gallon. The national average is 30.5 cents per gallon, according to the American Petroleum Institute. Gas sold in each state includes 18.4 cents applied per gallon for a federal excise gas tax.Jan 4, 2017

Until they twig they've lost a hell of a lot of fuel-tax revenues so slap it on the electricity...

It was $3.97 at the Arco/711.  That was for premium.  Regular unleaded was $3.35.  The last time Don filled up in Santa Monica it was $3.45.
What makes it so frustrating for me is I can see them pumping oil right off the coast and yet we have some of the most expensive gas.  I can't figure that logically in my head.

The only explanation I can come up with is we have "seasonal gas." It is true.
In the summer our gas wears the newest, in-style bikinis and in the fall, it wears a very stylish scarf.  Who Knew??  ;) :) This post was edited by Merlin at December 20, 2018 9:01 AM MST
