Chevron is advertising their gas price at 'about  $1.50/liter in Vancouver (but their washrooms are very clean) -which would be about  $5.50/US gallon.

When a buck was silver gas cost 0.19 to 0.30 troy ounce per gallon.

Today I paid $2.54 per gallon and silver is $14.75 which equals 0.17 troy ounce per gallon.

The difference is that in the 50s you had to earn 0.2065 troz to have 0.19 after taxes, and now you have to earn 0.2833 troz to have 0.17 after taxes.

    Gas is not the problem.

    December 19.

How much is it NOW?  That's why I don't care about the penny-wise, pound foolish manner of thrift.
