Literally tanned, no. Figuratively so, yes...on NUMEROUS occasions. I had a regular appointment with my middle school/Jr. high principal. I dunno if Mr. McClendon's sadism was worse than my masochism, but both of us got our needs met roughly three times a week. :-)

In middle school there was this girl who wanted a genuine leather cover for one of her books, and she decided that my skin was the best at hand to make some leather with.
So she skinned me, tanned the hide, and got her genuine leather. Turns out human skin isn't very good for leather, and it wore out really quickly, so the joke's on her.
I tell you, you haven't felt truly naked until you can look in the mirror, and see your muscles and organs and stuff. You think you look bad? Look a little deeper and we're actually still quite different, but much more beautiful <3
Took me weeks to regrow it all. Pretty painful, and very itchy, but an experience I'm glad I've had.
