Mostly for singles, but open to all...Have you ever dated someone with a full set of dentures? Would you?

  • Haven’t dated anyone who wore dentures but wouldn’t be opposed to it.

I haven't. I guess it depends on how he was with them. The dentures, themselves, wouldn't be an issue, but if he has bad habits with them, doesn't speak well with them, pops them out to eat, doesn't keep them clean... yeah. That would be a turn off. I'd prefer dentures to a broken/ decayed/ diseased smile any day of the week.

  • Dentures stain big time!  Can't have coffee, soda, tea, etc. without it being very noticeable afterward.  I stick to water after I put them in, and I don't take them out for anyone...well, there were times when taking them out was pleasurable. xD

    lol
Yeah, it's harder to keep stains off them. Some of it depends on the quality of the materials because you can get super cheap ones for maybe $500 or better-built ones for over $1,000. You don't necessarily have to give up those beverages though. If you drink through a straw and drink water right after, you normally won't experience staining or it won't be to the same level.

Haven't dated anyone with dentures.  I don't think I even know anyone who wears them.

My gal friend has full set of dentures. She avoids wearing them much because they don't stay in place very well.

  • When you say "gal friend", do you mean you're dating?

We have been friends for about 7 years.  Just friends -not in a relationship  really. We just 'like' each other and not living together. I go visit on weekends and once during the week.
I am 73 and she is 45 years of age. This post was edited by Kittigate at January 27, 2019 8:11 AM MST

When I reach that age and if/when I need dentures, I'd be a little wary of any woman who wants to wear mine every now and then. Clingy!
