Far to many to list ,but love Rod Stewart and just a few days ago his latest record called Grace....it's about the evil things our English government and Royalty did to the Irish freedom fighters at the begining of the last century...
We recently moved near her hometown in VA Welby. I pass by her grave often. Her home is a big tourist attraction here too. A great talent who had a tragic death!
I specifically remember the first time I heard her voice -- a TV station was playing her and I was in a far-away room -- I literally dropped what I was doing adn ran to the room and asked, "Who IS that singing?"
THey told me - -she absolutely stunned the he** out of me by jsut singing.
I am mesmerized any tme I hear her..
Excuse my typos
I haev too many favorites to pick one but I did pick Cline for here. And I'm happy to stand by her as my choice. I'm in awe of her voice, style -- she connects to my soul. I only heard of her decades after her tracgic deathe.
As much as I like them, and as many concerts I went to in the 80s, I never got the chance to go to a Maiden show. They always came to cities around me that were 4-hr drives both directions and dad didn't give me that much gas money.
I wasn't a huge Maiden fan once Di'anno was kicked out, and I only saw them that one time, but they were good. Bruce has an amazing vocal range, but I have never been much for that high pitch voice. His talent can't be denied though, that's for sure.
I had a boyfriend in high school whom I went out with because of his resemblance to George Harrison (his picture on the Let It Be album). I still have a crush on George...and that voice... loved him.
My boyfriend looked like George too! I saw the Beatles perform live twice in the 60's in Chicago .. and I can still remember yelling out "GEORGE" when all the girls were screaming. :) He was something special for sure .. and gone far too young.
OMG -- here I am again, lavender and Mrs.C ! George!! Huge crush, even though I only truly noticed him way after-the-fact. So hot! And such a music talent! Love his solo stuff, too!
Amazing voice, probably second only to Freddie in range. What really boggles the mind is that years of chain smoking never roughened it, he was as clear in 1986 as he was twenty years earlier.
I have so many favorites, but Phil Mogg, Robert Plant and Ann Wilson are still around thankfully. Unfortunately, Johnny Cash, Joplin, and Prince have left us, but their music is still alive.
