Have you ever yourself, or heard of someone getting an exceptionally rare good deal when making a purchase?

I heard someone had bought a Lexus -value of about  $70,000 for $2000. Story was some young guy bought the car, had it registered in his mother's name to get reduced insurance rate but somehow pissed off his mom so very badly so that she sold his car for $2000. Fixed him I guess. Lucky buyer anyway providing there was no lein on the vehicle.

    Last year I bought a pound of BC high grade bud for $200 - it's normal value would be around $2.000. Cheers!

    Find the scratch 'n dent store in your area. You will not believe how cheap groceries can be. I get hamburger, bacon, sliced ham, corn dogs, and other kinds of frozen meat for a buck a pound. A while back I scored ten quarts of egg nog for a buck a quart. I have coffee stacked to the ceiling at half price. It's marked "Pacific Blend" but I can't tell the difference from regular.

    When I lived in Winnipeg there was a 'jobber's market' store where they received slightly damaged goods salvaged from train wrecks or truck wrecks -you could buy very cheap. I haven't found that kind of outlet where I live now.

    When one of my wife's clients moved, they no longer wanted their Lincoln Continental, so they sold it to her for a dollar. Tax was only 7 cents. Had they given it to her she would have had to pay full market value tax.

    Yes I read it about all the time, however have not been so fortunate. 

    A guy I know bought an old house in St. Paul MN.  In measuring out the basement and the garage area dimensions did not add up.  Knocked down a wall between the garage and basement and found a Dusenburg, a few cases of old Bootleg Booze and other items from the prohibition period. He basically paid for the house after he sold the Dusenburg.  The prohibition items are on display in the Minnesota Historical society museum.  The bootleg whiskey was also sold at auction though we did sample a bottle

    The Bootleg Whiskey was unique, our grandparents had to be desperate to drink that S__T. Let me say the taste was not ours.  The modern palette is so delicate.  Mekong Whiskey I would consider better
