The Hollywood Wall of Fame: I just found out that celebs have to PAY to get their stars there. Did you know that was a requirement? ~

No but it makes sense.  No pay no play.  What did you expect to get your star without paying? 

It is pretty obvious that somebody has to pay for it. Stars don't grow on trees, you know.

I knew that, but I didn't care.

Yeah, I had heard something along those lines.

Not so much the required payment but the filling out an application sort of takes the prestige out of the whole thing for me.

I may not have clearly known the two things you mention in your question, but I had some sort of knowledge that dampened my excitement for the star walk.

That puts a whole new twist on the whole narcissism game.
Having learned that, I'd rather avoid the films of those celebs who pay for their self-promotion.

Surely there could be a better way to memorialise the most talented greats.
