Because I got a 1099-C from the divorce era. Like Jackie Gleason would say, "some *****". This post was edited by my2cents at February 12, 2019 1:23 PM MST

Yes, as a matter of fact.  The amount I was taxed this year is slightly lower than it's been previously.

Do you think it was due to anything Trump did?

I'm neither you nor cornered; I don't seek that path.

Thank you for reminding me why I don't talk to you.  Just forget it.  I have no idea what you are even trying to say.   Who is trying to corner anyone.   This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at February 11, 2019 8:14 PM MST

I'm not spending my work bonus until I know I won't need it for paying taxes.

Yes!  My income tax return this year was way lower than it was last year.  It's because I left my job at the end of last year.

I will be paying more on my US since local & state taxes are capitated and deductions limited.  Just moved my US rentals to a LLC with all the attendant BS.  Austria is a whole other bag of BS.  The accountants will have all othe paperwork by 10 March and then the games begin..........

Even if the Doc and I wanted to be married we cannot afford it due to US Tax Law and is punitive Unitary system of taxation.

I have not done mine yet. I do plan to input exactly what I made last year and compare to this year's rate.
As long as I don't pay more than last year I will be happy.
I will likely work on it next month.

My daughter filed and she got a bigger refund.

I thought about you when I wrote this since you told me last year that you were very happy with your return amount.  I wondered if and when the same results will occur.

I think you are in the service industry.   As I recall.  That is standard.
