    You ARE joking, right? 60s songs were all about peace and love and feelin' groovy (apart from the Stones, who were all about sex and drugs - the other bands were doing that too, but Mick, Keef, Charlie, Ronnie and Brian were the only guys SINGING about it).

    You are right.  There was a totally STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER feel to the 60's and then Charlie Manson burst in the scene.   Already a menace.  Then the dark side of the drug generation was exposed.
