Well, I have a friend that kept a shoe and cleaned it up hoping to find the other. And should have just had the fish dinner and not wasted the time on an old shoe that doesn't fit any way. So I choose the fish.
You know, based on the earlier answers here, I thought the fish was going to win- a total closeout. There's a couple of votes for shoe now. The race is on, and I tell ya, it sure beats waiting for semis. Or maybe it doesn't. A matter of perspective, I guess.
Fish because I live on Vancouver Island and awhile back they were finding a lot of shoes with severed human feet in them that washed up on Vancouver Island beaches. So if I caught a shoe I would freak out thinking there might be a foot in it and throw my rod in the water. Cheers!
I'll just pass altogether. I don't want a fish and a used shoe is something I would have no use for. I read today that you can make some kind of bird feeder in an old boot hung from a tree. That's a possibility if I cared to do, but I don't. :)
Whales live a hundred years plus ...giant Clams even longer....one was found in the North Altlantic to be the oldest living creature on this planet......it died when they choose to move it......:(
Of course, you're not talking about food.. I think you're talking about something deeper.. Does it matter if I catch a shoe or not??
I'm a fisherman.. At least I think I'm a fisherman.. I've been learning how to fly fish for 50 years and haven't mastered it yet.. So, I don't catch fish. I try to catch 'em, I think.. Or maybe I don't.. I just have the time of my life fishing..
