Why don't Brits say, "it?"

They say, "Yes, I will do."  or "Sure, I could do."  Don't they know we're waiting for them to say what they would or could do?

    They invented the language, so the proper question is why Yanks keep expecting an extraneous "it".

    Well Ishmael, we often drop the "I," and "Yes" for "Will do," or "Could do," which is maybe why we don't use "it." We also use "I will do so."
