Do you go by a nickname? Is the name you are known as the name you were born with or is it different?

No one ever called me anything but ROSEMARIE. A big name when you're a little kid. I wanted to be Ann. When I was 30 I met a gal who became a good friend and right off the bat she called me ROSIE! It stuck. If it were not for her I'd probably still be ROSEMARIE. I think I grew out of being Rosemarie and grew into being Rosie! Weird though. You'd think it would be the other way around right? Nickname when you're young and a PROPER name when you're old! But where's the fun in that? Where's the fun in being typical average ordinary strict bythebook PROPER when you're old. I wouldn't know. I'm not. Are you?

    I know your real given name. Ed or Eddie? Eddie Hascal? Never wouldda guessed it in a zillion years! I used to watch The BEEVE and you are no Eddie Hascal to me. Well you're E and always will be. Ed/Eddie?  There are other iterations of your given name I would have guessed that would suit ME better but I know this isn't about me! And I digress. Again! Sheesh! Thank you for your reply E. So did you relate to Eddie Hascal? :)

  • amber is a nickname. my name is actually amberlynn.

    i go by amber because it's shorter and amberlynn is kind of mouthful. i  also don't think it flows very well but a lot of people tell me its pretty. 

    i have a bunch of nicknames from a bunch of people. my husband calls me a whole slew of different things because when we were dating he sent me a text and instead of babe he made a typo and said babs. so that lasted a while, and now he says babs, bibs, bubs, bug, etc. my brother calls me amb. my manager calls me by my last name 

    i usually go by amber tho

    Well add me to the list of those who think Amberlynn is verypretty. I think it's quite beautiful as a matter of fact! I also love the playfulness that exists between you and your husband. That is a sure sign of love. Loving teasing. You don't do that with just anyone. Well I'm just Rosie which pales in comparison to your tapestry of nicknames. I don't know if honey or sweetheart are nicknames. That's what Jim calls me quite alot and also what I call him quite often.  Thank you for your thoughtful and really informative reply. Would you be very upset with me if I were to call you Amber or Amberlynn? I shall call you what you prefer of course. Just thought I'd throw in what I'd prefer! Yes I am very pushy! :)

    Amber is pretty.  I had a co-worker named Ember.  She would get pissed when people would screw it up and call her Amber.
