Have you ever had a "hit" put out on you ( a hired assassin) or someone you know? It's happened to 2 people I know personally.

Thankfully, they are still alive and the assassins are in prison.

    I grew up in New Jersey but never knew anything about that.  Except what I saw on the news.  My father and both my brothers were and are successful in business there and in NYC but they never traveled in those circles I guess.  Neither would I want to.

    When I was 15 my mother died and I went to live with my aunt.  She was single but soon married a man who said he was a Mafia lawyer, retired.  I don't know what I did but he didn't like it and said he was going to have a contract taken out on me.  I was afraid for my life for a while but nothing came of it.  It turned out he never realized his dream of becoming criminal lawyer (lawyer for criminals).  He had been a crooked NYC policeman.
