I did have to kill some a couple of times. My wife was working in the garden, when her feet and ankles were inundated with stinging ants. Then they started getting into the house. I had no choice other than to get a pangolin.

I was being facetious and I was parodying an earlier NJ question. She will get it. BTW...thanks for the info about the tar tree. I deleted my post. How embarrassing.

I figured you were kidding about the anteater, not the tree.  But given that pine pitch was used on one of the survival shows I saw to "glue" some material together to float a candle into the air as a signal, I didn't evaluate  your usage of tar as a potential word for pitch.

From Wikipedia: Pitch is a name for any of a number of viscoelastic polymers. Pitch can be natural or manufactured, derived from petroleum, coal tar, or plants. Various forms of pitch may also be called tar, bitumen, or asphalt. Pitch produced from plants is also known as resin.

Pine resin was used to attach feathers to arrows. Tar pitch was used in ship building. Now...combine the two and tar and feather someone.

Oh, is that how it goes.  I always thought it was, "everything in life and nature has a porpoise". (I thought that saying sounded a bit fishy)

They help cull the human population and are part of the food chain ,so why not....
Humans are just the top predator that has a evolved to grow thumbs....

We are the most evil living lifeform on this planet and have developed huge factories to slaughter all other species in theit trillions would wide ....
We breed animals ,birds, fish and bugs ,sometimes in the most inhumane conditions ,are we any worse or better than Mosquitos........
Mosquitos evolved the same why humans did ,what have they done wrong. ?
They don't make war or weapons that kill.....They are just another tiny part of nature that's has a right to this planet to.....

Saying that ,I don't like the ones that like to feed on me either ,but except some have such good tastes....Lol

As much as I hate mosquitoes I wouldn't want to wipe them out since other creatures depend on them for food, but I would kill the ones that try to feast on me. Either that or I just go inside if there's too many mosquitoes outside. They like it when it's gross and humid out anyway, I hate that weather.
