I keep the chewables in my purse and i always have them. my digestive system is f*cked so there is little i can eat that doesn't make me bloat and get gas. im guessing its celiac and years of laxative abuse but who really knows

I know Beano does NOT work.  I'll give it a shot.  I have to massage people and I am dreading making that NOISE.   LOL

    So embarrassing.

The people you are massaging are probably holding back gas as well. If it happens, just tell them you want them to feel comfortable so you're just breaking the ice.

Oh, wait. I thought you were referring to your massage clients having gas!  That would be bad enough, but the massage therapist having gas is either just as bad or worse.

Maybe you can try rearranging your eating and bathroom habits to ensure you have an empty tummy and an evacuated "tract" at least 90 minutes before going to work.

Other than that, I hope other answers here will be helpful.  I truly feel for you . . . er, poor choice of words, forgive me.

I wish I had a better answer, sorry.

It is not a problem with me.  I have had to deal with this issue maybe once or twice.  I do as you suggest.  I make sure I am not filled with something gassy like soda or Mexican.  Obvious warning foods.  But, I'm good.  If I had to deal with that, and had to really concern myself, I would not be working at a spa where I have no break.  So, I'm good.  I would not want to have someone working on me that I don't know, cutting afflatus.

    No sireee.

Body - Drink some carbonated liquid (chug, do not sip).

Car- Drain the fuel tank and lines; don't purchase fuel form that establishment again. This post was edited by Shuhak at April 15, 2019 1:38 PM MDT

My suggestion is to stay in front of it.  If you know you have to work that day, don't eat things that make you gassy.
I know you are Very Good and don't eat meat.  Yea!  Happy! Happy!
Things like broccoli and cucumbers can make a person gassy.
Maybe try to avoid these foods.  Another way is to exercise before going to work. If you have gas, hopefully, the extensions and contractions of your inner muscles will help urge the need to expound on your customers beforehand. :)

Otherwise, gasX or you could try baking soda and warm water.  It will make you burp and perhaps elevate your gas before coming out the other side and being a bit odiferous. :)

Thank you for your well-thought-out reply, Mer.

I think the culprit with me is I have an empty stomach most days and then drink lots of fizzy health drinks like Kambucha or even fruit or vegetable juice.  I am ASKING for it.

I let it rip until all the gas is gone but I try to do it in a musical way so that it sounds like 3 Blind Mice or Bingo. Cheers! This post was edited by Nanoose at April 14, 2019 10:44 PM MDT

Afflatus college.  I have heard of it.  It is very Ivy League.  Even More Prestigious than being a Rhodes Scholar.

In days of Yore ,I think people mostly used a cork for things that leaked....:(
In this case ,you'd need to frow that cork away after single use....:(

That is pain and I cannot massage that way all day.  You want me to die of a heart-attack?  Gas pain is as bad as any pain on the planet.

Beano says take two tablets 30 minutes before eating.  I did that, didn't work.
