So. You think you land in AFRICA and this happens?
I think you have to GO to places that have these animals running wild. They are not in major areas running wild.
You will be more likely to be killed by predators that KILL these kinds of animals than the animals themselves. They would see some innocent child like yourself full of wonder, and they would rob you blind, sell you into a sex slave operation, or just kill you for sport.
Stay home. You are too naïve.

Well to be fair, the headlines say rare... so that means it is not usual.. I think perhaps that with climate change and pressure for land - many animals are getting more desperate for food. I doubt you would even see a lion let alone be attacked by one.
My son once got a job based on his answer to, "What's the most unusual thing that's ever happened to you?" - his answer was.. "Well, I was once bitten by a lion." - He was too, and I remember he sent a text saying, "It was inevitable I would get bitten by a lion" - then I didn't hear from him for 3 weeks.. He was fine but his phone charger broke.
To be fair though he was volunteering on reserve out there and the lion was a semi-tame one and it was only playing.
Don't know the circumstances around what happened to your son, but there was a news story a year or two ago about a woman on a safari in Africa who ignored warnings about not getting close to the animals. She opened her car window and allowed a lion to approach. She tried to take a photo, and of course the lion bit her and killed her. Hope your son was smarter than that, though that wouldn't be saying much.
Nice answer . No you wont be missing me, cause im not going to disappear. I was just saying that we are lucky to live in lands without dangerous animals.... Like in America, we only have bears or wolves that are ' a little bit' dangerous.
We are lucky to not live in africa and have to hide from lions, hyenas, or even angry Hippopotamus .
