Milk and money... do you think we really have changed priorities nowadays?

The old saying was milk and honey.. the land of milk and honey..

I wrote on a list to remind myself I had to get some money out and I had to buy milk... but seeing the two words together, it seemed ironic..

I think now people are generally more motivated towards milk and money than milk and honey.

Agree or disagree?

    Well...
    Am allergic to Dairy...milk included.
Don't have enough money to ever retire
just day to day work to pay the bills,
But Honey ...it's a regular thing for me in my morning drink.
Two teaspoons with half a Lemon, Cinnamon, and Turmeric.
A daily cleanse from our bagger friend from India,
which I haven't seen for such a long time, I forget her name. haha
But our Priorities have always been, in my opinion, towards
the illusions of this world, rather than the deep
Spiritual Truth within ourselves, which shine brighter
than a pot full of gold.
But hey, it's the way of the world, always has been
and probably always will be to chase the money.
So yeah I agree with you. Everything gets more expensive
on a daily basis, so all of us, except those that profited
from the tax break the US President
gave to the already rich, feel the pinch. And it is
getting worse day by day to have a good life
with the so called American Dream.
...it's good to see you whenever you're here.
in the land of Milk and Honey Money. LOL

Based on the way I see some young folks pounding sodas and Red Bulls, I’m not so sure milk is such a priority either.

Milk and honey were venerated in the distant past when those two things were relative luxuries. Symbols of living well to folks who had little money.
