    Learn new things. Since I'm an artist, musician, and writer, I get into science, math, economics, politics, geography. I love solving logic problems. Maybe I'll get back to working more crossword puzzles like I used to.

    Also learning new languages----Spanish, German, French.

    I did that for a while too, when I was off work for a while a few years ago. Was a fun way of keeping my mind active. How long have you been doing it and have you noticed any particular benefits in your 'real' life? If I remember rightly, Lumosity claim to develop cognitive skills that are transferable to real life.

    As with building strong muscles, very important. However, we do have to do something in between the rest periods, let's not forget that part hehe! :)
