Discussion»Questions»Food and Drink» I have absolutely zero interest in cooking-related shows, either on TV or radio or online. What about you, do you like them? ~
Oh yes I have posted on here about New Scandinavian Cooking which is my fave. Also Marianne Esposito on Ciao Italia, Christopher Kimball's Milk Street TV. And I watch selected others such as Lucky Chow and New Orleans Cooking. I recorded 14 seasons of New Scan Cook which I watch every week as my husband massages my feet and body. I cook but really the point is that people watch them because they like to eat. Which is true of most people.
I watch them when I get the chance, especially the vegetarian ones, which are few compared to the others. I love cooking food that looks good, smells good, tastes good and is nutritious. I love picking up new ideas for experimentation.
I have absolutely no interest at all in cooking shows. I have watched Rachael Ray when I'm waiting in the doctor's office and I find her very irritating.
Pfft! Why should I watch those things when I'm a much better cook than they'll ever be. Why, I'm so good that I can actually scorch water - without even trying! Ever see anyone on those cooking shows do that?
That is because you have your talented and lovely wife to cook for you. I dearly hope you never make her mad enough to send you to your room without dinner for the rest of your life. Big Winks and Smiles and a friendly hello to her. No, I don't but I'm sure Don wishes I did! :) :)
I never tune in to those programs. What's to know about opening a bag of Tyson chicken from the freezer and tossing a few pieces in the oven? That's all I need to get by, and it's at least a step up from Hot Pockets.
Only that a constant diet of that type of food leads to colon cancer and numerous other health problem. The effects are cumulative over time. A small amount once in while does no harm.
